A History of Music in the University of Aberdeen by Margaret Carlaw & Derek Ogston
Jillian was recently commissioned to create the cover illustration for this forthcoming publication.
The final image is a combination of paper cut and collage using manuscripts and fragments from old University Choral Society programmes (don’t worry, we had permission from Special Collections)! Look closely and you might be able to spot compositions by current and former members of academic staff including: Paul Mealor, Pete Stollery, Phillip Cooke, John F Hudson, David Smith, Suk-Jun Kim and Reginald Barrett-Ayres.
